SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON MEDICAL CENTER- MONTLAKE MARCH 2018-JUNE 2022 Independently managed a full SLP ICU/acute caseload in addition
to inpatient rehab cross-coverage. Responsibilities include planning
and executing assessments and interventions relating to dysphagia, aphasia,
cognition, motor speech, communication and voice (including leading and
interpreting FEES and VFSS). Collaborate with colleagues to establish
resources for patient cares (e.g., oral hygiene signage used throughout the
hospital system, voice assessment framework-in progress). SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST CRISTA REHABILITATION AND NURSING-SHORELINE,
WA AUGUST 2015-JULY 2018 Employed as the sole SLP of a 160+ bed skilled nursing facility
with long- and short-term residents. Responsibilities include patient
assessment and treatment in the areas of dysphagia, cognitive-linguistics,
communication, social pragmatics and motor speech. Provide ongoing caregiver,
family, staff and patient education. Fulfill occasional outpatient SLP needs
at this facility. Lead staff in-services regarding oral care, aspiration
precautions and dysphagia diets. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST SWEDISH MEDICAL CENTER (PER DIEM),
EDMONDS, WA AUGUST 2015-SEPTEMBER 2018 Employed as a per diem acute care SLP where responsibilities
include patient assessment and treatment in the areas of dysphagia,
cognitive-linguistics and motor speech. Dysphagia assessments and treatments
made up much of the caseload. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (TRAVELER) CENTRA HEALTHCARE
SOLUTIONS, BELLINGHAM, WA MAY 2015-AUGUST 2015 Employed as traveling SLP in an 84-bed skilled nursing facility
with both long- and short-term residents where responsibilities included
patient assessment and treatment in the areas of cognitive-linguistics, motor
speech, dysphagia, and social pragmatics. Provided ongoing caregiver, family,
staff and patient education. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER, TACOMA,
WA JUNE 2008-MAY 2015 Employed primarily in an adult inpatient rehabilitation
department where responsibilities included patient assessment and treatment
in the areas of cognitive-linguistics, motor speech, dysphagia, and social
pragmatics. This position included covering four acute care departments.
Performed VFSS alongside radiologists, completed assessments and treatments
with patients with tracheostomies and administered hearing screenings. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY-INTERN HARRISON MEDICAL CENTER,
BREMERTON AND SILVERDALE, WA JANUARY 2007-MARCH 2008 Provided supervised care in both acute and outpatient
departments in the areas of cognitive-linguistics, motor speech and dysphagia
